INSTALLATION FAQs
Residential and commercial including flats, HMOs, care homes, schools, councils, block management and business premises.
Repair may be suitable when:
- The door is a confirmed fire door
- The leaf and frame are structurally sound
- Issues are limited to hardware, seals or minor surface damage
- The door’s Field of Application allows the repair
- Nominal or notional doors have limited remedial options due to lack of test evidence and no verified FOA
Repairs are only possible when the door can be brought back to rating compliance within its tested and approved Field of Application. Where these conditions cannot be met under our accreditation, we may recommend replacement as the compliant route within our accreditation.
To provide an accurate quote, we need:
- Property type
- Postcode
- Number of fire doors
- Location of each door, for example flat entrance, plant, electrical, store or final exit
- Any existing fire-door survey or FRA
- Site address
- Client address if different to the site
- Contact details, phone and email
If you do not have a survey, we can carry one out. If you prefer to instruct for replacements, tell us the style and type you want, or we can provide multiple options so you can compare prices.
INSPECTION FAQs
A fire door inspection records the condition of the door leaf, door frame, seals, all hardware including hinges, closers, locks, latches, keeps, handles, letter plates, spy holes and hold-open devices, the gaps, the general condition and the fire stopping at the frame-to-wall interface. The level of detail recorded depends on the survey tier selected, and all findings are documented with photos and clear notes.
You’ll receive a report with findings and recommended actions. We can quote for any remedial work identified.
Yes. You can attach an existing FRA or survey with your enquiry so we can work from what has already been identified, as long as the document is detailed enough for us to quote.
